if you asked me that i’d end up falling in love with a boy i met in third grade, i would laugh at you. it still amazes me that we somehow found our way to each other after not seeing each other for so many years, and maybe that’s why i believe in that whole “meant to be” kind of thing, maybe that’s why i’m such a hopeless romantic. we both make mistakes and we’re far from the perfect couple. our relationship has it’s good days and it’s bad but we’ve never stopped loving each other. we’ve never wanted to give up on each other. i accept him for all his flaws because he accepts me for all of mine. i love every single part of him in more ways than i know how to describe. i believe in what we have. when he tells me that we’re going to make it and he tells me he wants to be together forever, i believe him. when we look at our future, it’s with each other. i’m uncertain about a lot of things in my life and where i’m going, but i’m 100% sure about him and that he’s who i should be with. i look at him and i realize how lucky i am, i look at him and i know he’s the one.

True love isn’t about always being together. It’s about loving each other even more each day, no matter how much time you spend apart. Distance is not as difficult as many people think it is, as long as you both put in effort into your relationship; which means constant communication. When the time comes for you both to see each other again, the time and distance spent apart will be all WORTH it. You may feel lonely and skin hungry, but once you see each other again, with every touch, hug, and kiss, it’s as if you fall in love with them all over again; more so, fall in love with them even more than you already do. It’s never a “goodbye” but always a “see you later” - Unknown.

Here’s our story :)

So, back in 2009.
i first talked to him. i was using a friends account though. so he didn’t really know at all.

then, in 2010.
i was supposed to hook up my friend with him. and i did try.. until i fell for him and she wasn’t interested in him anymore. it was March Break. he came home from his trip, and we became inseparable. i was healing from a break up, and i forgot all about it when i started sharing my thoughts and opinions to him. my friend, kept telling me “you’re falling for him! even if you aren’t you will!” but i denied it. i kept denying everything.. but i secretly did like him. then i after a week of being close, i decided to confess to him.. it was a bit hard, and it was nerve wrecking. then i just burst it out, and he replied.. “i like you too.” right there and then, i knew i was going to be the happiest girl for the longest while. so then, a month went by, we got past the first phone call, and the first i love yous. and yes, it was quite quick.. but i don’t know for him it was different.. i fell for him so quickly.. of course i don’t regret it, i feel special for having the most amazing boyfriend ever. so months and months went by, and first date happened.. also first kiss, and first everything else hehe. he was sweet, gentle, and really funny. i missed him alot when it was goodbye time. afterwards, school started, and we started seeing eachothers flaws, getting into arguments, and cry and screaming at eachother. we didn’t know how to fix anything, nor to compromise.

going on, 2011.
january, was the most toughest month i believe. i’m so glad we made it through. febuary, was amazing, and march was surely memorable and soooooooo hard.. since he went on vacation and i was usually alone. april.. 8 months without a kiss or a hug from him. finally, i got to see him. after all those rejections and through all those tears. it was such a lovely date, different from the first date, and we were more talkative and smiling. obviously.. again it was goodbye time.. i missed him greatly. i cried so much on the bus ride home.. thinking oh no.. i won’t see him for many many more months. but then PROM came in june it was AMAZING. we were soooo happy, and had a great day. i wished i didn’t have to go home so early (even though i came home at 12am).

& the story goes on.

now, we’re at our 1 year, and 9 months and 8 days mark♥

through so much, pain, tears, anger, happiness, smiles.. the list goes on, i can proudly say;
i love you Henry Vo, always and forever.
64.4 km, won’t stop us.
distance don’t mean a thing to us♥
